Good for them! I don't know how much validity the suit will have in court based on the law, but I think they at least are pointing out the fact that something is very fishy with MLB under Selig's "leadership". If I remember, the purchase of the Expos by Loria was somewhat contested or scrutinized back in 1999 anyway. Now, after turning the Expos into a wreck of a franchise, the other owners allow him to purchase the Marlins? Early indications are that the Marlins might be heading down the same road under Loria's ownership, as they've made some questionable trades of Clement, Alfonseca, Floyd, and Dempster.
So if Selig wants contraction, let's just get rid of the two franchises that Loria wrecked, Expos and Marlins. Simple enough?
Sad.....

Is there anyway Selig can be contracted?

And now Graeme Lloyd is asking an arbitrator to negate the trade (or at least his part of it),,,

More trouble for Bud -- a Mets co-owner, in the midst of a lawsuit against the other co-owner regarding terms of a buyout, claims that
baseball conspired to make the franchise appear less valuable so the amount he'd be paid would be less.
