It will ONLY GET WORSE if her candidacy goes forward....
Oh, I am sure it will go forward, and not because the above article indicates it will. The way she's campaigning all over the country, locking up money and support--it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what she's doing. The nomination is hers for the taking, and I think both her supporters and detractors realize this.

The first thing we need to do is get rid of the archaic Electoral College, then it won't matter who wins which state. But even if that doesn't happen, I'd rather have a nominee that is true to Democratic beliefs than someone chosen based on whether or not its believed they can win.

Leave the Electoral College alone. It has served the nation quite well. I defended it when Democrats won, I defend it when Republicans win. There is nothing wrong with it.

...how about the fact that its un-democratic? In a democratic election, the candidate with the most votes should be the winner, not the one who wins the majority of a semi-proportionalized system.

It also goes against the American notion of one person=one vote. The weighted electoral college system gives voters in smaller states a more heavily weighted vote than those in the most populous ones.

News flash: The United States is not a democracy. It is a representative republic, and the E.C. fits in quite appropriately.

This notion has been bastardized to the point where it is irrelevant, sadly.

So then we should abolish the U.S. House? After all, larger states have disproportionately more power than smaller states. And what about the Senate? California's power is no greater than Rhode Island's in that body. So much for the "one man one vote" concept in that chamber.

The E.C. is a brilliand creation by the Founding Fathers that has served our country well since its inception. There is no need to abolish it simply to ensure one's preferred candidate will win a presidential election (believe me, that's why most folks want it eliminated).

Remember when Jane O'Reilly (I think) called George Bush the Elder "every woman's first husband?"

Hillary Clinton is going to be every man's first wife. The aging yuppie harridan he leaves in favor of the 21-year-old fitness instructor or the 23-year-old nursery school teacher.

It's funny.
