Full Version: "Sweet Lou" Goes berserk in Seattle!

I was at the game last night when the Ump made an obviously bad call, and caused Lou Piniella to charge out of the dugout and question the call, only to have the Ump smirk and fold his arms, at that point, Lou lost it and kicked dirt, threw his hat, kicked it around a bit, and finally, ripped out first base and threw it around a few times. It was like watching the Jerry Springer show! It was classic Lou.

I think it has as much to do with the Mariners winning 116 games last year and aren't even in the hunt this year as with whatever call was made last night.Lou's never been the most easy going guy, so this season must be frustrating the hell out of him.
Mariner Duck Guy
I think it was Lou's way of venting a his frustration. Sure. Now, the M's decide to kick it into gear. A little late, eh guys????
Well, after the game with Texas tonight, they have 6 with Anaheim and & 3 with Oakland. So, I guess they will have a say on who is division champs & who will be the wild card.

"Obvious," huh? And from your position in the stands I suppose you saw it better than C.B. did, eh?

Interesting that even the replays didn't show this to be "obvious."

OK Ump25, You're right about not having the view that C.B. had on the play, but I was frustrated at the time I posted this, and I know this was not some conspiracy to ruin the M's chances at the post-season; after all, he was the Ump behind the plate the following night, and I didn't notice any bad calls at all. You have to understand the feelings here in Seattle, we were supposed to be in the World Series this year!

Now, Ump, that wasn't called for. Have some pity.

It must feel equally bad for the Red Sox fans, they were supposed to leave the Yanks with broken hearts this year!
