An eight foot statue of former UK P.M. Margaret Thatcher (that's "The Rt. Hon. Baroness Thatcher, LG OM FRS" to you, buster), slated to be displayed after her death in the House of Commons, was decapitated by a 37-year old London man.

I've always liked the poster showing her being carried away from thermonuclear destruction by Ronald Reagan a la "Gone With The Wind." Now, THERE was a duo divine!

Whoa! Vandalism never solves anything. Isn't it enough that Baroness Thatcher has to live with the fact that her policies (and their pale imitation by her successor, John Major) have helped to keep a pretty incompetent government in office for over a decade now?

Recognition of this probably far less solace to the decapitator than, well, chopping off her figurative head! (And Britain has a long and ugly history with this very act....)
