I was going to post this, but I thought it was only right to give PF a shot at it first. You never let me down, man...

Kerry looks a bit French in that picture. I might be mistaken, but I think I read somewhere that he served in Vietnam...

OUCH! Swiss on a philly? thank goodness he did not ask for a french roll!

WM1865, you know that we must fight for truth and justice... Often, we face insurmountable obstacles (10,000 socialists).. but in the end, the true american always shine.... And that folks is not one of those real fake bullets that ahhhnold will have to face.....

I would have posted this earlier, but i've been fighting the yuccaneer bandwagon.

PS i also heard that dean gave his 4 lies to the american public from W.. but he forgot the 4th. Here's the last one mr dean.. you lose, big time.

Nah -- we'll leave that to his Daddy -- don't know what he choked on (maybe his promises ...?) but he did vomit on the Japanese P.M. ...

My favorite sentence in the article: "Recall George H.W. Bush's wonderment in the 1992 campaign upon coming across a supermarket scanner, and Sargent Shriver's legendary request for a Courvoisier while visiting a milltown bar in 1972." I remember Bush the Elder's supermarket caper .. but not the Kennedy-in-law. Certainly they must know their liquor better than that. Joe P. musta been rolling over in his grave!

Earlier today I sent an e-mail to a friend about this story. Kerry is the same candidate who refers to himself in the royal WE. Man -- we really need Give 'em Hell Howard!!!

Actually Shriver's mistake was worse than they are printing - he walked into the bar and loudly offered to buy a round of beers for the house, "and a Courvoisier (IMHO one of the worst tasting liquers on the market) for me!"

John Kerry should just admit he is a rich bitch and let it go at that - this is as sad as he and Weld arguing who was richer and more out of touch during Kerry's last Senate campaign.

Can you imagine that all these Republicans and poser-conservatives are getting all worked up over how a Presidential candidate orders and eats a steak sandwich?

John Kerrey is creepy at best. But for GW supporters to get their panties in a bunch over something like this is ... well, creepier .

Ya'll need to grab a clue.
araanib
I liked Robert Gibbs's quote about Kerry being too distracted by Bush's domestic failures to order a proper cheesesteak.

Though, I am surprised that the hard-line Republicans on this board are the ones relishing so much in this episode. Politicians by nature are aloof and come from socio-economic classes about eight notches above the middle class, so I am hardly surprised Kerry would nibble daintily at a cheesesteak. He would probably eat New York City pizza with a knife and fork.

But do you really think Bush or any of his inner circle would chow down on one of the world's greasiest sandwiches? Can you imagine Condi Rice slurpin' CheezWhiz off her fingers?

"Mm-Mhmm! This sh*t's awesome, George," she would say, UNdaintily wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. "Hey, Dick, pass the pitcher of Bud."

I hardly think so.

Actually, I can very much imagine this. Bush would know how to handle cheesesteak, and I suspect it would be fun to down a pitcher with Condi.

Then again we can't blame the democratic party for not getting re-elected, nor the citizens (they voted in the last election for the democrats and still lost)...instead blame the cheating republicans. William, you indicated that you have an insider's view, so I'll trust that Condi and Bush are, privately, the kinds of people who would enjoy eating a cheesesteak in a small, crowded restaurant in a blue-collar neighborhood in Philly. This is NOT, however the image they project publically.

Before you go around calling people "Chimp" and "stupid," learn how to spell. One "blaim" is a typo, two means at least one child on this board was left behind...

Geez, a pissed off republican...Surprise. Glad they can worry about the small things in life, instead of the important ones...Like human rights, "oh, wait!" I mean the human rights in our own country.

Sorry, I went to elementary school during the 80's! Wasn't a republican responsible for education then? I was typing fast so I can get back doing the crap work/low paying job I do, so I can pay my taxes! I do apologize!

William - If you feel the need to complain about peoples spelling you might want to skip all posts from PhillyFan.
William1865
PhillyFan has a lingo all his own, and a man of his irreverence and wit can spell any word any way he wants. "Blaim," on the other hand, wasn't a typo or shorthand, it was an obvious misspelling - twice in the same post. If you're going to run around calling our President stupid, I'm going to call you on your poor spelling.

If not, you're stupid.
PhillyFan
I try to really avoid any word i am not able to spell.. the rest are just typo's.. because re-reading... re-checking for spelling... well that's over-rated folks...

To break up this LOVE fest.

Kerry and his dems... Listen folks, these are the people who run around and say they look out for the common folk. If anything, this shows you who the spoiled rich... out-of-touch.. yet pander to the poor.

JC- trying to pin poor education on any president is foolish. Blame the teachers. The ones who dont want to "offend" students by making them work hard... The ones who are more concerned with "feelings", than spelling. The ones who'd rather push their liberal agenda, than teach math. The parents who dont push their kids to do better, and dont punish them if they dont.

So please save your dem/repub was president, my education sucks.

#2.. work hard at a low paying job to pay taxes. Come on get a clue man. If you dont like your job.. get another. If it doesnt pay enough, go back to school and get a degree, or a different degree. Dont have the money to do that? work harder. That is what most people do, and are beter people for it in the end.

as they say in buc land... tally-ho.

Looks like PhillyFan is back to his inane posts and uncalled for personal attacks on fellow Outsporters -- based on absolutely ZERO merit or facts, I might add....I might suggest someone direct PF to the Discussion Board guidelines, which it is abundantly clear that he has never taken the time to read.

Now, where are those reasonable, clear minded Outsporters who were calling for Philly Fan's banishment a few days ago?....perhaps they're all intelligent enough to avoid reading his venomous posts by now.
PhillyFan
GC, what are you talking about? Personal attack? By telling someone to get a different job if they dont like it?

If more people listened, or did what i did.. the world would be a better place.

You see, PF doesnt put up with people blaming others for anything... it's all about self-detrmination... if you dont agree with that.. fine. Then you can run around and "comfort" people and their problems. I'd rather help solve them.

Give me a break PF! rolleyes.gif ....as for your blind denial of personal attacks on fellow Outsporters do you consider questioning that poster's level of education as relevant to the discussion at hand or believe that it somehow does not exceed the boundaries of this board (when based upon his prior messages in all likelihood it surpasses YOUR OWN level of education, or is that fact not important if it conflicts with your rant)?....and don't even get me started on you advising another Outsporter whose political views happen to differ from yours that "if you don't like your job...get another"....Have you looked at the staggering unemployment numbers during the administration of our current "perfect" President lately?....How many TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans do you think there are today who would LOVE to "get another job" with better pay, working conditions and benefits, if it was only as simple as you sarcastically imply? rolleyes.gif

Perhaps you and your immediate family are fortunate, PF, that all of you have been spared from the massive layoffs and downsizing that is still in effect and that each of you have been able to maintain your "perfect dream job" -- if so, I truly am happy for you and hope you realize how lucky you are....but, even if that is the case, you sure as hell do NOT have the right to chastise and attack someone else for voicing an opinion about wanting to upgrade their current job situation -- whose accountability, not coincidentally, for the current state of our economy and its astronomical unemployment numbers falls squarely on the lap of our current President and his administration, whether he wants to accept responsibility for it or not.

This is a reach... i SAID.. that you should, go to school if you are not happy with your job, or go back and get a different degree. Hence, you can get a different job. That is personal? please. That changes someone's current status. Allows people to do what they WANT to do. What they LIKE to do.

By NOT doing something like this... and simply complaining that your job sucks, you dont get enough money, all your money goes to taxes... Well, you are not making yourself better.

For all i know, i may lose my job tomorrow. I dont sit around and worry about it. However, when i went to school and picked a field... i chose one that is always in need.. good or bad economy.

So, if you consider telling people to change what they have if they are not happy.... a personal attack... so be it. Carry on...

Thanks Gamegock...I am actually going to be entering a PhD program in the fall. I love what I do, just not the crap job. I have been looking for other opportunities, but there really is nothing out there. With a Master of Education, it would be assumed I could have gotten a pretty decent job. My job actually only requires a high school diploma (I took what I could get). The job cuts that have hit higher education in the past two and a half years have stifled all opportunities by the lack of funding for student affairs personnel. Stats are showing people fresh out of college or grad school are having an extremely rough time in career opportunities.

Just to clear things up.. i'll go ahead and clear this post up so people dont think it's a "personal attack"

JC (address by name, no personal attack meant)- trying to pin poor education on any president is foolish (doing this in gereral, not personally). Blame the teachers (as a group, not an outsports poster). The ones who dont want to "offend" students by making them (any student)work hard... The ones who are more concerned with "feelings"(everyone has feelings), than spelling. The ones who'd rather push their liberal agenda, than teach math (1+1=2). The parents (not anyone in particular) who dont push their kids (any child) to do better, and dont punish (not a verbal personal assault) them if they dont.

So please save your dem/repub was president, my education sucks (said by JC, not me ray-gun or bush didnt come into the classroom).

#2.. work hard at a low paying job to pay taxes (not my words). Come on get a clue man (why accept this??). If you dont like your job (it's work, who likes it?).. get another (why keep a job you hate?). If it doesnt pay enough, go back to school and get a degree, or a different degree (This covers both areas of college and non-college people. That does not question someone being educated or not. In fact, it covers both). Dont have the money to do that? work harder (how else do you get extra money?). That is what most people do, and are beter people for it in the end (you know, most people appreciate what they work for more than something they didnt).

Hope that makes everyone sleep better, or put them to sleep.
