Okay, this isn't exactly relevant to most of you. However, I have just got to relay my excitement. Since I was a little boy I have collected baseball cards and have never won anything from any of the contests that I had entered. Well, that has all changed at age 33 when I got a big box in my mail tonight. I entered several times in the 2003 Topps Opening Day Baseball Mid-Summer Scratch Off Game earlier this baseball season. No, I did win the Grand Prize, which was a trip to next year's All-Star Game. But, after all of these years, I was one of the 2nd place winners. I won a box of 36 packs of baseball cards! I know I didn't win first prize. But, hell, I will take it! biggrin.gif

If you like baseball cards, that's a nice consolation prize!

WOW!!! AND CONGRATULATIONS!!! 36 packs of baseball cards can only be described as cool--do they come with that hard-as-hell bubble gum?

360 baseball cards, and I can count on one hand the number of Yankees I got. At least one of those Yanks was Jason Giambi! This seemed to be an American League deficient box as 2/3 seemed to be from the National League. I opened one pack and it was all National League no-name guys until I got to the last card, whom played for Tampa Bay. I suppose the biggest stars besides Giambi, would be Sammy Sosa, Jim Thome, Randy Johnson, Kerry Wood, and Greg Maddux. So, I didn't do too badly. No bubble gum included with these cards. Finally, I didn't get any of the "randomly inserted authentic autographs". It is still nice to win anyway.
