As correctly predicted by one of our sage Canadian posters, Johan Santana of the Minnesota Twins not only won the Cy Young but won it unanimously. Curt Schilling was second and Mariano Rivera third.
It's always the pretty one's who get the awards.... sigh....

Excellent choice! Johan Santana was by far the most dominant pitcher in the American League this season. ...and I am glad for Mariano Rivera, who rightfully finished in the top three!

Congrats to Santana for winning the award unanimously....definitely well deserved based upon his performance this season (or at least from mid-July onward when he improved his record from 7-6 to win his last 13 decisions).
