Full Version: A dangerous neglect of science

With an individual with such a questionable background in science as Robert Walker is the President's advisor on that subject, it is very unlikely that our serious negligence of education in that field will change soon. It may seem like old news but this article is more relevant now than it was when it was written. Michael Brown of FEMA was the tip of the iceberg.

So the Republicans are the paradox party. And the drugs at their party suck because they are militant against the kind bud.
sportinlife
His primary achievements have been lobbying for the space industry and large pharma. His party could certainly have found many scientists of their political persuasion to serve as a science advisor. To make the position a political reward harms the cause of both science and education. We are ignoring our human capital, the most important facet of our infrastructure.

Au contraire. They're the ones with the jack to buy all the good blow.

So I am told.

Oh Erik, I have all the kind bud you'd ever need. See, you have to be a Democrat to really know how to have a good time. Those Bush twins...just fakin' it. That Jeb boy, well, he's really gay, he just doesn't know it yet. The rest of the clan? Caught up in the haze of denial. See? It's not really so different...either horribly in denial or truly enjoying oneself. I pick the latter.

I was listening to a book on tape. Long drive and it was Will Rogers. His joke was the same people were hired to parade and be festive at both the Republican and Democratic conventions. His quip was the only real difference is that the Democrats threw a better party. Of course he did a piece on home-cooking and the art of a good gravy.

Of course Dems throw better parties. We can also look at ourselves in the mirror without shame. It must be a bitch to be a Republican and try to shave without having the courage to look at yourself in the mirror. Good gravy is an important part of the federal government food pyramid. Kind of like when Reagan claimed ketchup is a vegetable. Never, ever eat gravy while on meth. That's a Bozo no-no.
