We're probably aware that London has an extensive camera system in place in and around its subway system. In fact, it is believed that system was instrumental in leading to the capture of those behind the subway bombimgs.

Chicago has numerous cameras on various intersections, and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority has begun installing them on its tollway system.

Now Mayor Daley wants to start putting them in private businesses.

I wonder, then, what folks here think about all these cameras. I would imagine having them is good, but in certain places for certain reasons. Do we put them literally everywhere? I can understand private businesses like financial institutions or similar venues, but is putting them in bars and other such establishments going too far?

How long till one's looking at me taking a shit--a very unpretty thing to witness, I might add.
