MIB, I realize you have probably never been east of Michigan Avenue nor south of Roosevelt Road, but there are many, many single family homes in the state of Indiana. Your ignorance of your immediate geographic surroundings makes me wonder of the worldliness of a man who refers to himself as "judge". You certainly are "judgemental", with emphasis on the "mental", but I am beginning to doubt your position on the bench. Also, I am glad you are one of three people in the greater Chicagoland area that watches Blue Collar T.V. on WGN-TV. I am sure the program gives you a feeling of inclusion.

Yeah, now THERE'S a reason to vote for somebody, because one likes someone's spouse! Now I've heard it all. rolleyes.gif

I wonder what you'd say if someone said they voted for GW because they really liked his daddy.

It's time we bring back literacy tests to be able to vote.
millerbeach
I liked GHWB much, much better than the liar GWB. I still would never, ever vote for GWB. He's a bad liar. He's a crook. He's a cheat. See now why I would never, ever vote for GWB?

I grew up south of Roosevelt, thank-you-very-much, and if I can find cheap parking east of Mich. Ave., I'll spend more time there, but I have little need to do so.

Most trailers are.

No need to doubt. I prefer missionary or doggy style.

"Read my lips: no new taxes." Yeah, right. That was a bold-faced lie, unlike America's horrible intelligence.
millerbeach
Let's review the lies of GWB. Oh wait, my computer can't hold that much information. Please MIB, you are growing so tiresome. Isn't there anyone in your life with whom you can practice those doggie or missionary positions?

I really think Hillary could pull the election if nominated. Seriously.

Who's she going to run against, Trent Lott or Tom Delay or god who knows what abomination of repugs?
millerbeach
Unless the Repugs get Jesus Christ himself to run, they are truly out of gas. And get this, for the first time in eight years, the liar Repugs won't be able to rig an election. We will finally have a real election in this nation! Hooray! Go Hillary Go!

I would have thought by now you that you would have learned to never assume. As the ole (and here appropriate) saying goes...

Why wouldn't Hillary be able to capture the same majority that Bill did? Same ideas, same focus and coming off the worst administration in U.S. history.

And any of the repug fools that are trying to claim shrub's throne, good luck...
Point of clarification.

President Clinton never received a majority of the votes cast in either the 1992 or 1996 general elections. A plurality, yes. A majority? Nope.

1992
Clinton: 43%
Bush: 37%
Perot: 18.9%

1996
Clinton: 49%
Dole: 40%
Perot: 8%

You shouldn't make fun of the conservative base like that MIB.

Considering that Jesus advocated the rich should sell all their belongings and give the money to the poor, He would finish a distant last in any Republican primary.

All right, now, MIB & FT, don't you two be trashin' my Hoosier state! There's plenty there to appreciate, MIB - and learn from, FT, if you'd bother to check out Gary and see what happens when affirmative action, black gang warfare and permissive policing all come together to tear a city apart. Kudos to Millerboy for living there and trying to set an example for making it habitable again; spending the first 18 years of my life there watching it go steadily downhill was enough for my lifetime.

Re: Hillary, I do agree with FT and the others who say she can't win, although I differ with them on whether she should. For me, she just can't be trusted. She's more clever than smart, although she's both to a degree - but only to that of a JD, not a PhD which, with all due respect to my profession, is, from the right university, a better indicator of intelligence. Her overbearing self-interest is not lost on most Americans, and that's why she'll never return to the Oval Office - which she should have guarded more carefully while she could have. wink

He also said that it is better for a millstone to be tied around one's neck and be cast into the sea than to harm even one hair on the head of his littlest ones. Considering abortion rips apart more than just a hair on a baby, I don't think he'd win a Democratic primary, either.

My point is, let's not speak for our Lord as to which party he'd be aligned with.

Not all democrats believe in abortion the same as not all republicans are pro-life. Let's not single out issues to declare which party is which.

I loved The Daily Show last night when Jon Stewart said to the Barnes fella:

You know, the majority of us in the middle are looking at the Republicans and the Democrats and asking is this all we've got to choose from? We're in deep shit.

eek!
Did I miss some historic legislative achievement during his first year in the Senate? All I see is a 'minority' guy who looks good on TV, and mostly spouts cliches while he waits his turn to be promoted to Potential National Figure.

Someone else said most Americans see Hillary's "overbearing self-interest." ANYONE who wants to be president has tons of self-interest; why is hers overbearing? because she's a woman?

What Sen Rodham seriously lacks is a spine or any real political principles, just like her Republican Lite husband.

I was implying nothing about Jesus--only those in the Republican Party. ...more likely that Jesus would be a Green or a Socialist anyway.

Jesus wore sandals, a beard, and preached love...Jesus was a hippie!

Excellent point, and one with which I am in total agreement, but you do understand Obama is a "great senator" because fantomas has decreed such. Because you disagree, you must be a right-winger.

No, Bill W is not a right-winger, but you are. Please stop trying to aggrandize yourself in Whitmanian fashion by assuming others share your skewed views of my own. You don't contain multitudes. You may plagiarize them, but that's a different story.

Yesterday afternoon CNN and "The Situation Room" had some late polls numbers for Hillary should she decide to run. Once again, while the number that said they either would vote for her or would consider voting for her were fairly good, the numbers that either would not vote for her, were rather high as well. They also asked voters about Condi Rice, and her numbers were similiar. The negatives were almost even with the positives. I still am concerned that if she ( Hillary) does decide to run, that she will be electable. Alot can happen in the next 2 years, so we shall see.

QUOTE
From the Sun-Times's political editor Lynn Sweet, who has been discussing the influence of lobbyists on members of both parties.

Last week, Obama took on a new role as a lead Democratic spokesman on ethics. After I made inquiries about eight flights Obama took on private corporate aircraft -- paying only the much cheaper costs of a first-class ticket -- his office on Friday announced a change in policy and that in the future Obama's campaign warchest will pay the whole cost of chartering a plane.
millerbeach
Well see, MIB, now you should be happy! Oops, I forgot, that may be nearly impossible for you. So Sorry!
MIB
Please don't run, Hillary.
