this is highly unreliable SPECULATION.

You have to understand that Saddam has become the de facto Boogeyman of Iraq and people are fearing his return like we fear Fredie from Nightmare on Elm Street.

and many people may simply be reacting out of irrational fear. and others stand to gain by putting this out there. Let's see somethig concrete.

Well, as I said, the administration's favorite, Chalabi, is now claiming that Saddam is alive.

This is the second time I've seen or read him making these claims. He was Richard Perle's and Dick Cheney's key source about the WMDs, you know, and also is angling to be the next head of Iraq. So is he a pathological liar, or is there some truth to his claims?
