If I actually thought that Shrub was anything more than a front man for the retreads from his dad's administration and his oil/energy cronies, I'd be scared shitless that this buffon was our president.
But he isn't, so I'm not.

Dear Razorback,
Thank you for posting such a sweet picture of Mr. Bush showing his amazing ability to read upsidedown and also demonstrating his good-heartedness by teaching this skill to our underprivileged children, fulfiling yet another of his promises to the American people, to be a true Education President. Congratulations on another job well done, Mr. President!
Yours truly,
Yet another Bush Fan(ny kisser who can take any situation that clearly demonstrates that Shrub is a brain-dead sock puppet, only to spin it 180 degrees into a version in which the POTUS is not only a very good reader, thank you very much, but that he reads much gooder than everyone else.)
Really, Razorback, cute pic. But as Will Rogers once said, "Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else."

As much as I hate to be the one to point this out, this picture's a fake.
www.snopes.com/photos/bushbook.htm The main reason you can tell is because the photo on the back of Dubya's book is a mirror-image of the one on the back of the kid's book.
Interesting sidenote: The book is "America: A Patriotic Primer" by none other than Lynne Cheney.

Maybe because they have the same book?

I couldn't figure it out until i read the description on snopes. They have a larger version of the picture and you can see that the photo on the back of the book is a mirror inverted image and not the orientation that the picture should be. It's a pretty good doctoring job anyway.

See, I try to be a good sport about all this anti-Bush propaganda, then I find out I'm being duped. It's just not worth it.
I assume Raze is preparing an apology right now for his unfair or at least misinformed attack on our President's intellect. Or he could go all Clintonesque and say, "Hey, I didn't say this picture was for real." Or he could take the approach of people who fake hate crimes and say, "Whether or not this actually happened is not at issue. The point is it could have happened, and therefore it's a problem." Your fans are waiting, Raze . . .

What a great song by The Who. Oh, wait......
On another board, they have a thread called "Dubya sings The Who", using songs by The Who to mock Shrub. The best one didn't even need to be changed (from Goin' Mobile):
Don't care about pollution
I'm an air-conditioned gypsy
That's my solution
Watch the police and the tax man miss me
I'm mobile!
W1865, when can we expect the Right's apologies for all the lies and distortions told about Clinton for 8 years? What? Huh? What's that? When hell freezes over?
OK.
I hope some Liberal Photoshopper does a "Dubya in bed with a dead girl and/or a live boy" kind of thing. Oh how I'll laugh.

Jim, you misunderstood me. In honor of Clinton's (and Raze's) home state, I said, "When pigs fly." Please pay attention. (Al Gore, for what it's worth, is hell frozen over.)

While this picture is a fake, it is neither unfair nor uninformed to question GWB's intellect. This is a man who wasted (or was wasted) his years at Andover, Yale and Harvard, at a time when there were a lot of poor kids who would have jumped at a chance for such an education. He then bragged about his lack of achievement in school in one of his graduation speeches.
I have no idea if Mr. Bush is smart or not. He does not strike me as being that intelligent, and he certainly is not an intellectual, that is, a deep thinker. Perhaps this can be blamed on his failure to really learn from the liberal arts education Daddy's money provided.

But what good does it do to Photoshop-doctor a pic and disseminate it around the Internet? Or jump all over the fabrication to attack the President's intellect? Sorry, but this brand of "political speech" just doesn't contribute anything.

It's just all in good fun -- similar to all the pics that were around during the 90s of Clinton in leather harnesses, etc. -- fabrications attacking the President's libido.

Actually, my favorite was the Photoshop job that pasted Slick Willy and Gore's heads on to some tanned, buffed bodies in tight Levi's shorts (including the obligatory huge packages), showing the two looking longingly at each other as they held hands. A classic.
All Hail Photoshop!
And, sorry, Shrub's intellect (or lack thereof) IS an issue; if he's just a dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks grown up frat boy with a hilarious ability to mangle what it is his supposed to be his native tongue (I'd LOVE to hear his Spanish!), then it makes one wonder who is really the brains in the Administration and what their agenda is.

It was available as a greeting card. Funny as all get out. Was that Photoshop? The card goes back several years.
