Tell me again why they're in control of the Senate. From the party that talks a big talk about fiscal restraint but spends like gang busters, they go ahead and do something like this that will, among other things, increase our dependence on foreign oil.

Add to that the fact that they apparently have forgotten how bad for the economy the windfall profits tax was when it was implemented in the 1970's.

I keep hoping they'll use their frickin' brains for once, but that's asking too much of them.
