As a former Floridian, I will like to encourage any Florida's registered voter to get out and vote in today's primary election especially in Miami-Dade County.

It is an important election that would decide the future of the state (governor) and the country (human rights). The whole world is watching how Florida conducts the election with the implementation of the new electronic voting technology with the state's diverse population.

Finally, voting is a great tribute to the memories of the many heroes of 911 (like Mark Bingham, NYC firemen & police officers, and many innocent Twin Towers victims) because they died in defending our right of freedom.

Absolutely! Get out and vote.

And if you're here in D.C. -- don't forget a pencil -- you may need to write someone's name in!

Jon Stewart (paraphrased closely) addressing the State of Florida on The Daily Show:

"We're gonna have to let you go... This would be a fine opportunity for you to latch on with South America. If you don't think we're serious, we've gotten Puerto Rico to take your place... And you can keep all the old people."

The emergency personnel you mention died heroically trying to save people. They did NOT die defending our freedom; for if they were, why have so many of our constitutional protections been eroded in reaction to that mass murder?
