President Bush offered an unexpected reason on Monday for cracking down on frivolous medical lawsuits: "Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

And earlier, at a speech an Erie football stadium, Bush spoke of last year's $87 billion appropriation for "armor and body parts and ammunition and fuel" for Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course, he meant body armor and spare parts, but his way is better--and more macabre.

...damn. I don't know what's funnier: the Punk Ass Chimp's faux pas or the newscaster's reaction.
I gotta send this to my friends!

Interesting he chose OB/GYNs. While family practitioners and surgeons are getting out because they can't afford the malpractice insurance, OB/GYNs are getting out, at least in part, because Bush's allies have this odd tendency to shoot them.

Let's see, Bush opposes abortion and sex education as well as making birth control available to those who need it most. The international family planning fund is one of the major groups educating against female genital mutilation, and Bush eliminated funding. His first act in office was to reinstate the global gag rule. He's said nothing about rape in the armed forces, except to oppose allowing women in the military to have abortions in military hospitals even when raped, even if they pay out of their own money. He supports mandatory parental notification for a minor having an abortion, even if she was raped and impregnated by her father. Of course, if her parents support her decision to have an abortion, he wants to overturn family values and outlaw their choice. He put in office an FDA commissioner who advises prayer for PMS and "marriage proponents" who advise submission for battered wives. He overturned proposed federal regulations on medical privacy.
But he just loves gynecologists.
Sure.
W is for Whacking Women.
