Hey:
I am passing on a request from a writer I know. He's legit. If interested, drop me a line. mailto:jim@outsports.comjim@outsports.com
I talked to you on the phone a few years ago when I was writing a piece on gays in sports for the New Republic. I wrote a longer piece on the same subject a couple of years ago for Salon.com.
I am hoping you can offer some advice. I am planning to write a book about one baseball game -at Fenway in late August - and would like to talk to some Yankee fans who will be heading up for the game. It would be great to have one group with some gay fans, who could talk about baseball and why they love it and so forth. I'm not looking for controversy, just to tell the story of one game through as diverse a set of characters as possible (the book will include reporting on fans, a groundkeeper, a scoreboard operator, a hot dog vendor, and so on and so on).
