The campaign handed out placards, much like the standard Kerry-Edwards signs found at other rallies, but with a slight alteration. The new signs read: “Kerry-Red Sox: We Believe.”
A few months ago, I read an article --which I couldn't find on the net-- about campaign contributions to presidential candidates from baseball team owners. It mentioned contributions from Cubs, Astros, Yankees, and Cardinals owners to either Kerry or Bush, or both. The only ones I remember were from the Yankees (for Bush) and the Cardinals (one co-owner donated to Bush; the other to Kerry).
