Seems as though the people In charge Of monitoring the voting booths in Florida, the same ones the got screwed up last time, are @ it again. The regulators & some blame Jeb for not cracking down on the right people.

From what I saw on TV, Jeb turned around and blamed local election officials for not knowing how the machines worked and not being prepared.

Interestingly, here in MD we used similar touch screen technology in two counties, and it went much better - no problems in one county and just a few in the other.

I have to say this is a typical reply from Jeb! Rather than accept responsibility, since as Janet Reno says "He is the top CEO in Florida", what does he do? Turns around and blames the County Officials. For shame Jeb. You are not worthy of re-election in my opinion!

There may be a combination of factors at play. It looks like the problems were in Dade and Broward counties, so there may be some issues in the local offices.
Jeb Bush and his cronies claimed they would fix the voting system and they should at least offer constructive comments on the problem in these areas.
Playing the blame game is generally not the best way to produce better results, but the Bush family is pretty good at blaming others for their own inadequacies.

Reality check here: elections in most states are run by COUNTY officials. Not the state. The county. That's definitely true in Florida.

This was not a state-wide problem. Even Palm Beach County, home of the notorious butterfly ballot, ran a clean, smooth election. The problems this time were limited to three counties only. One, Orange County (Orlando), had a problem with a machine eating ballots instead of counting them. Seems like a fluke that wouldn't have been noticed by anyone anywhere but for the 2000 Gore/Bush problems.

The only problems with inoperable touch screen voting machines were in Broward and Miami-Dade counties ... which are far and away the most Democratic counties in Florida. And the county governments are controlled by Democrats.

My question is this: incompetence? or a Democratic plot to embarrass Jeb Bush? (Exhibit 1 to the conspiracy theory: Terry McAuliffe was all over this story like stink on ----, well, you know what.)
