Kennedy is right - it is a fraud. The 2 reasons why we invaded and are now occupying Iraqnam have been debunked - WMD and that Saddam was involved in 9/11. Thanks for th link Pewter.

Pardon me. I have to interject here.
Senator Kennedy is no stranger to hyperbole, exaggeration and grandstanding.

All along I have felt this was is nothing more than George W trying to finish what his Daddy didn't finish. I remember W slipping up when being pressedby the media and saying something to that respect as well. Long before the war started, I strongly felt that the US would go in there, no matter what was found or not found, no matter what was said or not said. It was pre-determined and the rest of the worl knew it too. That's why we didn't get any more support than we did. Just my opinion though...

Wade, your instincts were the same as mine. Right before the war started, I got interviewed as an "average American man on the street" while walking home from work in Washington by Irish National Radio (or Irish Public Radio, can't remember exactly), and this Irish journalist asked something like "well, it looks like the U.S will be going to war in Iraq in a couple of days -- how do you feel about that?" And I fumbled around a bit, nervous as hell, but I said to the people of Ireland, "First, I believe we're rushing into this, but if we do indeed go to war, I'd like to see greater support from our allies, and second, I'm a little concerned that this President, President Bush, has not made a case that there are large quantities of WMD in Iraq, so that bothers me a bit." And then I continued on my route home. And while walking home, I thought to myself, if that reporter is trying to measure the pulse of the average American, he shouldn't be stopping people and asking questions in the middle of liberal, gay Dupont Circle. He should have been at a Wal-Mart.
