The red banner on CNN for the past 20 minutes has been that Michael Jackson has pleaded not guilty...meanwhile, it was just reported on the site that 2 US soldiers were blown to bits in a suicide attack. Yep, our priorities are right where they should be.

Yesterday evening I was watching Tim Russert's show on CNBC. One of his guest's was a Fakid Zakaria who is with Newsweek and is a staple on most Sunday Talk shows. The man sounds like almost an expert to what is going on over there right now, as well as the past. Tim asked him his assesment of the situation in Iraq, and he was not very optimistic at all. He mentioned we have have one chance and one chance left only to get it right and correct the situation. He too mentioned an inadquate number of troops for one thing, and said that if the administration doesn't take some serious new steps and soon, that civil war, and any hope of democracy as we know it will be gone. Not very positive.

Fareed Zakaria is with "This Week" on ABC and he is without a doubt, one of the smartest on TV right now and is especially keen on the events in the mid-east due to his own background.
