It is wonderful to me that soo many out people are so active in the anti war movement all over the globe. In London many out people have been featured speakers at anti war events. The gay rights organization OUTRAGE has been very vocal in it's opposition to Bush's dirty little war. Friends of mine in SF and in Washington, D.C. told me that the gay community is an integral part of the war against the war. In SF the Metropolitan Community Church is a centre of anti war activism. The same forces which seek to oppress the gay community are the same ones who are hurting the people of Iraq. That woman who was abusing Iraqis in those photos would probably be committing hate crimes against gays or lesbians if her time was not full harming Muslim Arabic people.

No, normally that woman would be getting raped in the army instead, or selling drugs on street corners. But she felt empowered in Iraq and took advantage of it.
