He says Michael Schiavo waited over an hour to call 911 implying that he tried to let her die.
Send Jeb to medical school - if Terri Schiavo had lain on her floor for 60 or 70 minutes with heart failure, none of us would know her name. That is because in heart failure, the heart stops completely - there is no blood flow to the body whatsoever. Unlike a heart attack where the heart is damaged, typically by a clot of blood, but does not stop beating, heart failure is nearly universally fatal. The reason for having heart defibrilators at airports and other public locations is that one has only minutes after heart failure to re-start the heart and save the patient's life. Therefore, had she lain untreated for an hour, she would have been cold by the time the paramedics got there. The only way she could have survived during whatever delay there was between Ms. Schiavo's collapse and her hospitalization would be for someone to try to move her blood through her body. Are we to believe that Michael Schiavo wanted her dead, but did CPR for an hour?
Oh, and the whole hour-long "delay" comes from Michael Schiavo stating he woke up about 4:30 AM and found his wife collapsed - the call to 911 came at 5:40.
Is it possible to ANYONE that he read the clock wrong?
