Anybody else see the news story out of Everett yesterday I believe, when during a Kerry rally outside, some moron wearing a cowboy hat (nothing against a cowboy hat mind you, except if they are a Bush supporter) and holding up a Cheney/Bush sign got a punch in the face by a Kerry supporter? I don't know if he was yelling anything or not. The video didn't show much other than him getting a fist full.

LOL...Everett, WA? That's my hometown! They talk about the incident briefly in one of the local paper articles:
Everett Herald Story I bet at least one of my brothers was there...I'll have to ask. Don't mess around in union country. ;-)

Glad to see the offender was arrested, just as any Bush supporter who assaulted a Kerry supporter should be.

Politics makes people like three year olds in a sandbox, a lot of throwing sand and arguing over the darndest things, usually of little consequence. It's like "my dad can beat up your dad"..."cannot"..."can too"...etc Everybody needs to grow up and act like adults...everyone.

Hmm, sounds like the Young Republican who kicked a protester while she was on the ground...

Violence is expected given the incivility that this country has degenerated into. I'm surprised there's not more of it. America has gone to Hell.

An appropriate quote to live by, living in Tuscaloosa.

Yes, let's go back in time when people burned crosses on people's homes and bombed churches.
Ahh, the good ol days.

It's nice he got arrested, but misdemeanor assault won't even make his record look particularly bad. What was more impressive is that the organization kicked him out (it said "fired," buit how do you fire a volunteer). I haven't seen Republicans very willing to discipline their own when stepping over the line.
