Time to lock up that off-season thread and get down to business!
At yesterday's practice (the one with a crowd of 11,000 -- Eagles said it was the largest practice crowd ever) a sign saying "Marry Me T.O." was held up by a green-and-white face-painted.....man. wink
In his session with the media Donovan McNabb said, grinning all the whie, "That was awesome...we ragged on him for a while about that one. That just shows the love they have for him in Philly."

That must have been that distraction that caused him to drop the long ball.

They haven't announced the figure yet, but philly.com reports that the crowd at practice today was said to be even larger than on Wednesday. There were major traffic jams. Andy Reid needed a police siren stuck on top of his car to get into the morning session.
QUOTE
The spectators cheered wildly and chanted \"T.O.\" whenever Owens touched the ball. One loudly urged him to make sure he spiked the ball \"on Dallas' star\" again, referring to an incident from several seasons ago when the wide receiver taunted the Cowboys in Dallas.

Traffic was so bad that the WIP mid-day hosts, that were to broadcast live from training camp were stuck in traffic and couldn't make it there. The morning show hosts were on for an extra hour until a temporary fill in could get to the Philadelphia studio.

That's why I have to win the lottery, so I can be home to hear the morning show every day. wink
Eagles gave the crowd estimate as...more than
25,000. From their website:
QUOTE
That number was easily the largest attendance in Eagles training camp history and is believed to be the largest number of people to watch a single-team training camp practice in a non-stadium venue in league history.

They had 25,000 fans attend the Eagles pratice today shattering the previous record. In the infamous words of A.I. "It's practice it's not a game it's practice" This should be one hell of a season.
Oh Joe you beat me to the punch again!

Wow, so many people expecting so much. It'll so much fun to see the Vikings demolish all that spirit so early in the season.

Stinger don't go there ... you don't want to be a victim at the Linc because of your desires.

The "superstar" isnt going to make it out of the parking lot, let alone seeing the game shall he continue his smack talk.
You know, when he gets smacked down by PF in the pre-game football game.

The Redskins are going to hell? With Saint Gibbs as the coach? What is this world coming to?

Kearse is listed as day-to-day with an ankle sprain...TO already has groin problems again...I think this Eagle team will look just like last year's, minus Duce and a few DBs.

Do the "fans" throw batteries at practice too or is that just in the regular season? wink

Buckhalter's replacement? The Eagles have
signed Dorsey Levins to a one-year deal.

What no Travis Henry or William McGahee from Buffalo? I guess it was just a dream. The easy cheap alternative was Levins and I guess we will have to live with that.

Jacksonville has released Hugh Douglas. The speculation has already started about a possible return to the Eagles, although they would want to sign him at the minimum and on Comcast Sportsnet they reported that other teams have an interest in him.

Hugh was not going anywhere else except philly.
He was the leader of this team 2 years ago, he was sorry he ever left. That much was VERY clear. He's going to come in and some leadership to this D. He's going to play his ass of as he knows this is one of his last shots at glory.
This team now has two serious threats rushing the passer from the outside. If healthy, a solid DT rotation. They should put a ton of pressure on any QB and take some pressure off the young CB's. Add in the best safety duo in the league of Dawk and Lewis. Hell, i aint in mentioning all the crazy blitzes from JJ...
This is going to be a scary defense.
Everyone make it through the last pre-season game and BRING ON THEM GINTS!
