As for the Austin "steers and queers" comment from billsf...we have a lot more queers than steers in this town! Don't get liberal-thinking Austin confused with conservative-red necked Fort Worth.

Regardless of whether he is gay, he certainly seems to have self-esteem problems that are reflected in a need to prove his self-worth at the expense of the welfare of others.

I think deeply closeted gays have shown that tendency, even if they live their entire lives without "acting out" sexually.

Short of a lie detctor test or questioning under oath, only a British-style rag-mag could out him.

I seriously doubt that W.'s politics and policies are tied to him being a closeted gay or dealing with low self esteem. From what I observe, low self esteem is not a problem he has. Besides what is so wrong with low self esteem--properly channelled it helps people to do better. High self esteem tends to promote smugness, close mindedness and satisfaction in mediocrity and failure.

Based on this analysis, Bush has high self-esteem!
