I personally would guess it has more to do with her age - once you get to be 50 or so and you're still single, people start to wonder.

Personally speaking I don't like the woman. In my mind she is almost as opintionated as Ann Coulter, another woman I can't stand.

Yeah, but she's got a HELL of a lot more power than Coulter! I think Rice, like the rest of the administration's power players (but not Powell) dissembles (that is, doesn't tell the truth) as readily as she breathes.

Ms. Rice is an impressive, intelligent, accomplished woman. Ms. Coulter is a loud, obnoxious shrill. I do not agree with either woman's political opinions. I would rather spend my time with Ms. Rice.

I've had the pleasure of spending some time 1 on 1 with Condi Rice at GOP events and she's not offensive at all. She impressed me as a pleasant, talented, articulate, intelligent woman who's not afraid to be forceful when required - as ALL of us should be when circumstances require. I'm glad she's advising the President on foreign policy matters. She's got solid credentials and isn't afraid to use them! I've yet to hear any misrepresentations on any matter from her. The Timidcrats and appeasers have no woman comparable to her and I'm proud to count her as a fellow Republican. She'd make a great Veep - and despite what W says, Cheney is by no means dead certain in '04 - pun intended!

Well, two gross misrepresentations she keeps repeating are that 1) she didn't have a warning that terrorists would fly airplanes into U.S. buildings, which is an outright dissimulation given the now exposed series of memoranda and briefings on this topic, and 2) there are clear links between Iraq and Al Qaeda, when the CIA has repeatedly said this is not true, the Czech President reiterated that there was no truth to this issue regarding the supposed meeting between Atta and an Iraqi official there, and independent sources that have said that there are probably fewer links between Iraq and Al Qaeda than between Iran and other Islamic countries and the violent extremist terrorist group.

Rice knows better. Perhaps W. doesn't, but she does. So that she would repeat these tales on national TV is disturbing.

That said, she is very smart, accomplished and probably is providing W. with some good advice. Unfortunately Powell is the only real counterweight to Cheney.

Well, when you add that she's also hot, there are a lot of lesbians out there (self included) who wish that she was, regardless of whether it comes from Republican or Democratic speculation. I don't have to agree with all of her opinions -- just get her to sit down, relax, and ... stay awhile ... (sigh)
