Mr.Reed (as Pringle respectfully addresses him) was in attendance at the game in Vancouver for the milestone. It had been widely expected that Mike Pringle would break the record last week in front of a home crowd in Edmonton (with his family in attendance) but my lowly Calgary Stampeders held him back just two yards short. Prior to his present team, Pringle also played in Montreal as well as Baltimore and Sacramento (during the short-lived 'CFL South' experiment).
Interestingly, Pringle and two other CFL career record holders (Damon Allen, Toronto's QB who has passed for more than 62,000 yards; and Allen Pitts, who holds the record for most TD receptions at 101) ALL attended Cal State-Fullerton, a college which doesn't even have a football program anymore.
