Kerry has a 10 point lead in VT for the primary...
http://www.seacoastonline.com/news/0619200.../news/34922.htmHe's saying now the W misled america into war. However with Bubba Joe in office, his tune was quite different. In fact, he said we should go it alone...
None of these dems are going to be able to run on the "anti-war" scheme... they all supported military action with a Dem Pres... but not now, they will get killed. If Dean cant win his own state, how's he gonna win?
THANKS DRUDGE!

PhillyFan -- to quote one of your probable heros Ronald Reagan: "well, there you go again" with those polls. I like to read them also but it is so early that to point to a poll at this stage and say it is in any way authoritative is just plain silly.

Philly,
The polling data to which you refer concerns Kerry's 10 point lead over Dean in NEW HAMPSHIRE not Vermont as you state.
And they will not be running on an "anti-war" stance. As you point out they can't. (with the exception of Howard Dean M.D.)
What they willl be running on is the "George W. Bush lied to America" scheme.

But, hey, if you read that poll on the internet, it must be true...

Though not a fan of Kerry, I have to ask 'Who cares?' This is conventional finger-to-the-wind stuff compared to
Dubya's Scorecard of Evil.
As we've said elsewhere, entering a war for fraudulent reasons is the stuff of impeachment, if only the Dems had balls.

New Hampshire and Vermont are worlds apart in terms of political climate. Although the people in both states tend to be independent and distrustful of outsiders (and so resistant to change that Dean's grandchildren, were they to live in Vermont their entire lives, would only grudgingly be accepted as "natives"), New Hampshire is solidly conservative - so attached to "small government" that it is the only state in the country without a seat belt law (if you are over 12) and one of the few with no income tax and no sales tax (come to think of it, it may be the only one that lacks both a sales tax and an income tax). On the other hand, Vermont is the home of civil unions and the first Socialist Representative to Congress (although Sanders is officially and Independent).

North Carolina and South Carolina.
North Dakota and South Dakota.
Oregon and Washington...well, they're up there out west somewhere right?
Whatever Kerry said in 1997, let's focus on Bush's comments in 2000. "No nation building." WE have to be humble in the world. "Compassionate conservatism." LIES LIES LIES!

By the way Phillyfan, I have not seen any comments on the K.I.A. ( Killed in action) post.
Did you bother to look at the names or faces of those who died for your heros war? I mean uncovering the mass graves and overthrowing Sadam made the war correct right? or are you waiting for a poll on that too?
PhillyFan
Jun 19 2003, 03:00 PM
I already know that taking out sadaam was the right thing to do.

So you are not willing to look at the names of those who died for YOUR convictions? why am I not surprisedYou will spend the time to read polls, post those that you like, tear down someone who is over weight and spoke her mind, but can't find time or interest to honor the dead.......yea, I can see why your a Bush fan

Pinko-commie libs??? Thats too funny!!

Maybe because Oregon and Washington are a little more progresive thinking than alot of the nation we are called "pinko-commie libs". Typical right winger reply. Oh, you forgot to add "socialist" too. wink
