My partner and I just bought a house. I got tired of watching my 401(k) and mutual fund accounts dwindle. I haven't completely given up on the stock market, but the bear market has been rough. I get the impression that W. is going to try and ride this one out--if he simply ignores it long enough, it will go away. The minute it's back on the upswing (whenever that is), we'll hear about another round of tax cuts. For now, it's war talk. There's a method here, you know, even if you (and I) disagree with it.
