A couple of "name players" were cut today. In a surprise move, the Falcons let Peerless Price go. And the Bengals cut WR Peter Warrick. You gotta think that some team will pick these guys up.

Price was suppossed to be a big factor when the Falcons got him last season. Kind of surprising they gave up on him so quickly. Warrick's release was less surprising as he has been such an underachiever since the Bengals drafted him and he'd been asking to be released.

The Bears have also released QB Chad Hutchinson. The Bears QBs are now Jeff Blake and rookie Kyle Orton.

Heh, heh, heh.....Atlanta traded a 1st round pick to the Bills to get Peerless Price. A pick that became Willis McGahee.

That could turn out to be a pretty one sided deal, ya think?

Peerless Price was a number 2 reciever when he played with Buffalo. He obviously benefitted playing opposite star wideout Eric Moulds. Atlanta made the mistake of thinking they could turn a number 2 into a number 1.

I wouldn't mind if the Eagles took a look at him. His numbers with at Atlanta are comparable to Todd Pinkston who is out for the season. He could fit in nicely as a number 2 alongside T.O. just as he did in Buffalo with Moulds. The Eagles probably would not offer him much but they have been known to snag guys for the minimum.

Ring Ring...

Hello...

Hey Mr Price.. wanna play for a supe...

Where do I sign?

Price signed with Dallas. The Eagles signed Darnerien McCants, who was let go by Washington, and cut Hugh Douglas and Jon Ritchie, among others.

I guess McCants is as good as any receiver we would get at this time of the year for minimum momey. I kinda liked Douglas for his personality more than his play. I was also hoping Jon Ritchie would make the cut. Oh well on with the season.

Did anyone see if Hugh was picked up, or am i to assume he will retire or give it one more go next year???? In his honor, we shall drink a toast prior to kick off.

In NON CUT news, my homeboy from NAU has made the team. Start printing the 45 jerseys as we speak.

Haven't heard about Hugh. I think he might retire, or at least sit out.
