The only other major candidate opposed to the landmark law was fellow Republican, state Sen. Tom McClintock who also voted against it in the legislature.

Wait, what gives??
I thought the Grope-inator was suppose to be so "gay friendly."

From Log Cabinettes:

Though the Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) had initially decided to only endorse after receiving a questionnaire, which they would make public, Bissiri says that Schwarzenegger's campaign staff said they are not responding to any questionnaires. "In reality, he's answered publicly every question we would ask him anyway," says Bissiri. "He' pro-choice; he favors domestic partnerships, gay adoptions, and medical marijuana. Arnold has the courage to be public about his convictions. It is important that while he reaches out to all to form a coalition to win, he must make a public statement on where he is on our issues. We feel he's done that."

Way to go guys!!!!!

My favorite part:
Arnold has the courage to be public about his convictions.

HA HA HA, yeah, right!!!!!

When the Log Cabins finally gain some credibility in the gay community, maybe they can start making some in-roads with the GOP. It's the constant mistakes like this that keeps them a NON-FACTOR all the way around. They are currently no more than a gay republican singles club looking for love in all the wrong places.

Anyone reading this will be dead by the time the Log Cabin makes any strides for gays. Keep those tax cuts coming. rolleyes.gif

Where did people get the notion that he's "gay-friendly"? I swear, I never noticed that in his platform. Let's see . . . he's pledging to "clean house in Sacramento", "set California on the right track" &, best of all, "fight for the children". I'm sure I'm missing some of the other platitudes, but I think these pretty well sum up his platform.

Does the term "empty suit" ring a bell??
