You know, if I volunteered to go fight in a distant war, came under fire, took some hits and received Purple Hearts and other comendations for my efforts, I think I would be entitled to do whatever the f**k I wanted to do with MY medals, and it's nobody's business (especially some pampered mama's boy who doesn't have any.)

You've got your story wrong, bub. The terrorists didn't demand everybody get out of Iraq. They demanded that their hostages' home countries pull their troops out of Iraq. I'm sure all of these countries would be happy to comply if they actually HAD troops in Iraq. But they don't.

Wm the story I heard on the news was that they were demanding those countries remove all of their civilian people from Iraq. The news-reporter went on to say that meant people from India, Kenya and Egypt who are over there trying to help out in the reconstruction efforts. Sorry I wasn't more clear. It's got to be very frustrating when no one can even go and help out now. I can't even imagine what regular old Iraquis are feeling. It is still just a big old disaster.

But I've been to some snoozer Dem parties where the conversation was so earnest that it made me feel guilty about lettin loose and havin a good time.

Conservatives/Libs...it's all good. I even partied with some hard-core Noles and Canes at my wedding, so I guess I get along with most any barnyard animal. As long as the Repub isn't a hypocrite and the Dem has the rod removed from the anal region, they're fine by me.
