Oh, gosh! The wardrums are softly beating...
QUOTE
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush would be \"awfully good\" in the job of president, but the timing isn't right, his father and former President George H.W. Bush told CNN Tuesday.
Any form of the word awful should always be included in a sentence when referring to someone in this crooked, sociopathic family. Hell, why have an election? Just go ahead give the office to him...it wouldn't be the first (or second) time a Bush didn't earn the Oath of Office.

Jeb has a huge politically liability. the activities of his daughter, Noelle.

Is she going to get a cabinet position?
Unless your name is Kennedy, America isn't too keen on another political dynasty in Washington. Enough of the Bushes--and Clintons for that matter.

Maybe you should just do away with elections all together and instead have a College of Presidential Families that would meet every 4 to 8 yrs and decide who amongst them would be best to lead the nation. After all most Americans don't actually vote so it wouldnt be a noticable change.Would certainly eliminate all that nasty fundraising, campaigning etc

America seems to be sick of the Kennedys -it seems - just ask Kathy Kennedy Townsend.

Why would "America" be tired of the Kennedys just because one woman lost one election in one state? That's almost as ridiculous as saying Bush has a mandate because he barely won 51 percent or whatever it was. (And I'd have to say she lost due to incompetence considering that it was Maryland and she was up against a guy with a clear right-wing record)

Hummm...you'd think having a family member declared an enemy of the country, or abandoning your military commitment, or snorting coke in The White House during the 80s, or lying about a war would be political liabilities, too. It always helps to have fear on your side.

Wow, what did Noelle do? Anything as bad as her Uncle?

Noelle has a major substance abuse problem. She's been caught with crack, trying to get fake perscriptions filled, etc. She might even have a felony record by now.

Still, it's nothing as bad as Uncle Chimpy has done.

Gheez BobbieDearest, MillerBeltch and JIP... I thought it was Prez Clinton who was tried for high crimes and misdemeanors, was impeached in the House, and narrowly avoided conviction in the US Senate?
And you think Pres Bush has reached that level of criminal activities, perjury, and high crimes? Based on the Downing St recollections?
Senior Bush has it right: the time isn't right for Bush #44 or #45 or #46 to run right now... but not for the reasons you opine.
Liabilities? Come on! HowieDean could become your fearless leader while vacating his role as a Dad and allowing his son to do a Break-In, theft, and then try to cover it up while Vermont's finest questioned him... and you got problems with Noelle Bush's substance abuse problem and medical condition?
Since when did the Lefties decide substance abuse problems of offspring were fair fodder for political liabilities? If that were the case, watch out TeddyK, JoeB, Babs-the-Boxer, and NancyP....

NARROWLY??? WTF have you been smoking? Since when is failure to achieve a simple majority narrow avoidance of a two-thirds majority? Something doesn't compute here, and I think it's vous.

Absolutely! It wouldn't surprise me one bit to find Shrub, Rove & Co involved somehow in the background of 9/11... can you say "Reichstag Fire"?

Ah, the old slide and shuffle. MiMatt, you'd think that by now, you would have learned a different dance step. Oh, I forget, you neo-cons don't have rhythm. Is it really against the law for two consenting adults to have sex? If it is, your party is in BIG trouble. Like I have said before, no one died when Clinton lied. Plenty, and I mean THOUSANDS have died due to the lies of GWB. Bush has the blood of many Americans on his hands. It's tough to wash off. Maybe if Jeb had paid more attention to the upbringing of his daughter, as he should have as a father, and not spent so much time rigging elections for his brother, his daughter might not be chasing the demons that she is.
