...and it's not being done by those evil Republicans, either.
SCOTUS has been doing it all by themselves.
Why even have a Constitution or 50 separate states when it doesn't seem to matter?
Kelo v. New London, CT. is just one example of this.
Did our Founding Fathers not literally begin a revolution--a war that cost thousands of lives--because they felt
their rights were being nullified? How long until people take up arms and rise against our own government, which seems to be more and more like that of old King George every day?
Happy Independence Day, indeed.

Finally, some "fair and balanced" reporting from a dubious source. I can't believe you linked this, MIB. Actually, I am impressed you linked this. Either the meds kicked in, or there really is hope for you. God Bless America!
No meds, just a lover of the Constitution.

MIB, I don't doubt your good faith for an instant, but do suggest that perhaps your titling this thread as you did overstates your case. Kelo was a bad decision, as were Gideon v. Wainwright, City of Euclid, Shapiro v. Thompson, the Gitmo jurisdiction cases and others. But to say our rights are being wiped out goes too far.
If you wish to believe this, gmg, that is your choice, of course, but those who become too complacent in believing our rights are being slowly but surely eradicated by an increasingly autocratic Supreme Court will rue the day they refused to act.
Happy Independence Day!

MIB, should I find myself frightened that I am agreeing with you? I do. (agree, that is). One by one, our rights are eroding. I feel it all started with the fraudulent election of George W. Bush with the Supreme Court deciding the election in February, 2001. I am sure you are able to provide previous instances, but that is when it started for me.

At least you can get a blowjob in your own home without being prosecuted. I ssem to recall SCOTUS having something to say about that...

If you screw it, it will cost you a LOT more!
