I usually read Margaret Cho's blog and, yesterday, she linked to a flash animation regarding the Pentagon strike on 9/11.

I thought it was, to say the least, interesting enough to post here. I watched it with--I think/hope--a healthy dose of fascination and skepticism. Unfortunately (or not), I was deprived of some of the impact provided by the soundtrack listed at the end (Dust Bros., Marilyn Manson) because I'm having trouble with my media player (no audio).

Damn. Notice that there's been NO discussion about finding anything from Flight 77. Not the flight recorder, not any of the "wreckage" of the plane, nothing.

I've also had my suspicions about the other hijackings as well. Something about all of this just seems...wrong.

There's only one problem - how do you make a 757 disappear? If flight 77 did not crash into the Pentagon (and eyewitnesses do report seeing a jetliner heading into the Pentagon that day), where did it go? Where are the people who were on board. Many of the dead have been profiled in the local DC media, including the three students and teachers from DC, the entire family of the local professor who was heading to Australia for a sabbatical, Barbara Olsen - wife of the Solicitor General, and a friend of a friend - the gay co-pilot who lived in Logan Circle with his partner. These people did not simply disappear.

Do any of you believe the Bush Administration had anything to do with 9/11 happening? Was it all staged like they said Pearl Harbor was staged to drag the US into WWII?

On the National Geographic Channel, there is a series called ":Seconds From Disaster". The episode last week dealing with the Pentagon on 9/11 disproves many conspiracy theories. The data flight recorders were found. Pieces of the planes wings were also found. When something in motion hits a fortified concrete object at more than 500 m.p.h., there isn't going to be much left of the object in motion.

Staged? No.

Carelessly allowed to happen through a combination of neglect, complacency, and incompetence? Yes.

Cynically exploited after the fact? "You decide."

Agreed.
