You heard it here first:

The Redskins were embarrassed by the Bucs on Sunday.
PCC
You heard it here first:

The Eagles lost to the Cowboys.

But God, if I had to be right about one prediction and wrong about the other, I'd rather have reversed it.

Oh my God the f**king NFL contractual obligation bullshit is beyond ridiculous. Just when it looks as if KC is going to tie GB and send that game into OT, the local CBS station has to leave to show the start of the Jets game. f**k you NFL! I spent the last 3 hours watching this game and now because of some outdated stupid rule I have to miss the end! What a load of crap!

The Bucs are looking to go 14-2 and host the NFC Championship. My money's on them.

Panthers beat Colts in OT 23-20 to stay unbeaten. Guess Carolina is for real after all.

Man the Giants are lame! That's about the worst I've seen them look in a long time. Pats played like carp and still beat GMen.

The Cowboys lead the NFC East by 1 1/2 games. They're the only team with a winning record. And Quincy Carter put up better numbers than Rush Limbaugh's boy.

Chiefs come back to win in OT 40-34! They trailed the Pack by 17 at the start of the 4th quarter.

Pittsburgh loses 3rd in a row and 4 of last 5. Still people here that think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread ? biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Why do you say that? Don't answer that. I have an idea already. But I don't see any particular groundswell for Pittsburgh here.

The KC-GB overtime was great. Sorry you had to miss it, George.

The KC game was disgusting. Favre should be ashamed. You've got them up by ten, driving successfully near field-goal range, the first thing you should be thinking on your third-down play is "okay, I need to make sure I don't throw an interception. That's it. No interception." So he throws too high, receiver tips it, pass returned for a touchdown. Punt it, for god's sake (out of bounds of course - not that anyone does the ole coffin corner anymore) and let the failed KC offense try to score twice on their own. Giving them free points is just wrong.

KC is living on the edge, they're opportunistic but their weaknesses were exploited last week by the Broncos and NFL teams do not win Super Bowls on returns alone. Priest Holmes has reached 100 yards only once this season (this is an all-pro back?). But they have a tragically easy schedule coming up. They could well be 12-0 or 11-1 when they visit the Broncos on December 7. Expect a much different result in the rematch.

Joe - see Jim of Jim and Cyd's NFL predictions.

The Seahawk/49er game was also most excellent. The first half was all Seattle, the second half was mostly 9'ers. If not for a critical fumble with about 1.23 left by the 9'ers, they very well may have won this one. Hawk defense was awesome.

Carolina entered the league with a lot of young players that are starting to gel and get experience but why d I keep expecting them to fade? Doesn't seem like their time yet.

They won't win their division, but will make the playoffs.

If steven davis stays healthy...

they win that division by 1 or 2 games.. hands down.
BigBucBoy
Carolina is for real. . I predicted preseason that they'd be much improved and make playoffs All things are clicking for them (2 OT wins going their way). . . . but still have some tough games ahead. Look for Tennessee to end their win streak. . . and if Tampa goes up there in a few weeks for first place rights, should be a great game.

Whatever PF, we ALL know how much your "predictions" are worth....

IF they lose Jake to injury they are in more trouble then if they lose Davis.

Bucs win the division - again.

(NOTE TO PF - refer back to this post in say...December/Jan)
