Does this poll make any sense? I mean really, don't they have access to reputable news that has now--for quite a while--defuncted this myth?! Because if they knew the truth they'd be mad as hell to know that they're endangering their lives for the sake of an outright lie.
SCTrojan, you and Raze are so right, but let's not forget how powerful the Orwellian-style Newspeak the administration and its proxies engage in really is.

Now, Faux is blaming the media for starting the "civil war" in Iraq. First they said it might be a good thing. Then they said it didn't exist at all. Now, it's the media's fault. Who's next in line for blame? Hillary Clinton?

This reminds me of this book that I read a few months ago. It speaks exactly of what your quote refers to. I don't know if anybody has read it here or mentioned it, but it makes you mad as hell as read chapter after chapter. And it was published in 2003. It is amazing to learn about the propaganda tactics & doublespeak that we were/have been bombarded w/ the last few years by the current administration. Unfortunately, it has made me very cynical & I don't have an ounce of trust for our current president & his cronies...Truly a sad state of affairs!
