While a couple of guys had a good week, overall we were pretty darn lousy! We had 39 players this week and as a group we were correct on 270 out of 546 picks for a horrifyingly pathetic .495 "winning" percentage.
Again, the tiebreak played a role since we had three guys wrestling for the crown. The Raiders won by 27 points. * indicates those few who picked Titans. So lets get to the results.
THIS WEEK'S CHAMPION
BigBucBoy 10-4 .714 Way to go, B cubed!!! Picked the Raiders by 13, close enough to claim victory.

Damn those Ravens. Damn them! Well, I'm Moving On Up! Not a bad revovery after a pitiful, and I mean, pitiful Week 2 performance. Now, if I can only keep it...up.

Promises, promises!
I can hardly believe how poorly I'm doing--and I was regular season co-champion last year! I'm the St. Louis Rams of the Pick'em game!!!!!
I have a question. Why did so many people do badly this week? It's not just here. I'm in several pick 'em games and generally, a lot of people did badly.
There was one game that I'd consider a jaw dropping upset and that Detroit over New Orleans. I don't think any of the other games could be considered shocking, maybe San Diego over New England or Baltimore over Denver but I could see picking Baltimore and San Diego. I could have made an argument (feeble though it would have been) that Baltimore and San Diego would win. Of course I didn't have them either. I remember one week last season the winner here had 8 correct picks. That was a brutal week. This week didn't feel like that week.

Teams that are undeafeated in the season usually have as much chance of losing a game a team that is winless team winning a game. It seems like everytime a team is ranked at the bottom of a power poll they go on to win a game the next week. First Detroit beating New Orleans then Baltimore beating the Denver. It's only a matter of time that the Chargers fall. Could this be the week?
