The St. Paul Saints will start their game on May 8, Mother's Day, at 5:30 am to allow fans to spend more time with their mothers. People attending the game on Saturday, May 7, will be allowed to sleep on the field (cool!!) or spend the night in the parking lot.

The spirit of Bill Veeck lives on!

I don't think the early start time was intended so people could spend time with their mothers, although it's a nice side benefit.
