Oh well, I am still here and kicking! Sorry to disappoint your distorted preconceived notions about people you know NOTHING about.
Bucs(and I) are on to Atlanta this Sunday. This to me is a make or break game for us. One game at a time, we will see if the Bucs can salvage the season. Griese has been so much more than anyone has expected, as well as Pittman has been a pleasant surprise in the running game. Jamel White is a much better blocker than my boy Alstott.
Time will tell. Let's go Bucs!

There is NOTHING better than kicking the pokes around the field on National TV.
Actually, seeing all the ex-pokes getting carted to jail is pretty fun to watch.
Usually the hookers in Dallas rake in the cash after the pokes lose at home on sundays, but since this is a monday night... i'm sure they will line the streets waiting for the mass evacuation of the stadium by the "fans"...
Wait, my bad, those arent hookers, those are the players wives...

The Jets season may be done. We saw how badly they did last year without Pennington, who will miss 2-4 weeks, and now they have to rely on backup Quincy Carter rather than Testaverde. Fortunately the next 4 weeks are far from intimidaing with Baltimore (H), Cleveland (A), Arizona (A) and Houston (H). But those are games they need to win since they've got Pittsburgh, Seattle, New England and St. Louis to finish things up. Not looking good for Jets fans.

Weekly predictions...
Pokes will beat the Eagles. TO throws another tantrum and spirals out of control for the rest of the season.
Nate Burleson chalks up 100 yards receiving. Marcus Robinson finds his way back to the endzone. Onterrio Smith gets 150 yards from scrimmage and a TD.
Colts D gives up 30+ points...PF logs 100 "pokes are bitches" posts before the end of MNF game...and Sting Sting gets lucky in Denver!! hehe

Guess someone wants to take the easy way in joining the mile high club.... oh wait! We all know Sting is easy.
My weekly predictions:
1) EAGLES will beat down the pokes like the "chupacabras" they are.
2) TO throws hissy because he's taken out of the game in the third quarter after EAGLES go up by 35 on his 4th TD reception of the game.
3) PF will get royally drunk in celebration.
4) Raze and HornFan will buy some smack to share with the toothless hooker they found near the Book Depository rather than watch the end of the game when the EAGLES win.
5) Sting will pass out before "getting lucky" from lack of oxygen. Joe in Philly will miraculously appear and provide mouth to mouth.
6) Colts will score 40+ and lose
7) Jim at Outsports will still proclaim Manning to be greatest QB alive or dead and "shoo in" for MVP.
8) PF will laugh and laugh and then grab another beer.
9) The 4skins will still suck. Parcells will still swallow.
10) Mrs. PF will get lucky when PF comes home after the game. No one throws themselves into a headboard better than Mrs. PF. eek!

In looking at this match-up... If the steelers used the blueprint to beat the Birds... I dont see how the pokes even match up.
They have NO RB who can pound the ball. Their offense cant control the T.O.P to keep the ball away from the Eagles. Their O is turning the ball over.
Pokes only chance is to try and turn this into a Defensive battle and win say 13-10.
To me everything points to a Birds blowout... but it is MNF football and the pokes just might be motivated after "bitch parcells" called them out. However, the same can be said about the Eagles being highly motivated due to what happened last year.
If memory serves me correctly, i believe the fat man is undefeated on the road on MNF.

Nov 11 2004, 10:25 AM
PF, the only flaw in you logic is that the D in Dallas has not lived up to last year's D (not even close). You are right about Monday night magic...it's the only (slim) chance Dallas has to pull this one off. It's just all part of the BIG LETDOWN forthcoming for the iggles in their usual choke in the playoffs.
Hey, just call me honest, not a band wagonner.
PhillyFan
Nov 11 2004, 10:46 AM
I think Parcells messed up the D because of what he did on Offense.
Eddie George is not a featured back. He's a part-time bruiser for tough yards. Add that to the injury of the rookie RB and it spells trouble.
Meee-Shawn is a short pass catching WR. They lost any speed they had at WR from last year.
What do these 2 things do? It allows the D to play within 15 yards, so even if George breaks a few tackles, he's not getting big yards. Plus, they are turning the ball over.
Even the Best D can't overcome these factors and look good. Plus, they are spending too much time on the field.
Last year, the O was able to grind it out a bit (parcells style) and keep the D rested.

This is ridiculous...Craig Krenzel is 6 for 17 for 51 yards and an INT, and the total yards at the moment (looking at the live boxscore) are 270 to 81 in favor of Tennessee. But thanks to two scores from an interception return and punt return the Bears actually lead the Titans. I know McNair isn't playing but shouldn't the Titans be better than this?
Jeff Garcia was pulled from the game and Kelly Holcomb promptly drove the Browns down for a touchdown...heh...is TO watching with a smile? wink
So far (a couple of early games still in doubt) I am 5-1 in my picks with Seattle the only loser -- and I mean
loser! Clearly this team has been way overrated all year. You'd think that the revenge factor after the way they lost the first game to the Rams would've come into play.
Update: Bears win in OT on...a safety. How fitting.

Don't look now, but both the Cards and the Bears are now just 1 game out of their division leads at 4-5 .... with the disarray the Seahawks and Rams are in I wouldn't be shocked if Arizona wins the West. Denny Green could own that division in 2 years.
edit: Minnesota just scored tying the game at 31 ... so the Bears might just be 2 back
edit 2: scratch that, GB wins 34-31, Bears just 1 back
