QUOTE
Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, blamed for the murder of tens of thousands of his people in the 1970s, died on Saturday in a Saudi hospital where he had been critically ill for weeks.

\"We can confirm that Mr. Idi Amin has died from complications due to multiple organ failure,\" said a senior source at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.

One of Africa's bloodiest despots, Amin had lived in exile, chiefly in Saudi Arabia, since being ousted in 1979. He was in his late 70s.
Now lets all take the time to reflect on what a nice child he probably was and how society led him wrong and... rolleyes.gif

On second thought, dance party tonight on his gravesite! I'll bring the chips and dip. Only too bad this couldn't have happened when he was a child and the people of Uganda could have been spared generations of torture and heartache!

Hey watch your language p2insdca, there could be kids reading this thread wink Actually, I'd appreciate a translation...my Latin is a little rusty, although I'm sure Dei=God and mundi=world.

It always disgusted and angered me that Amin was allowed to live in peaceful exile all these years, with apparently no pressure placed on Saudi Arabia to hand him back to Uganda to face trial for his crimes against humanity. Along with Saddam Hussein, Pol Pot and Slobodan Milosevic, Amin was one of the most despicable tyrants since the end of the Second World War.
