A senior representative of the IRC was on the television this morning. He reported visiting hospitals around the Baghdad area where there were just overwhelming numbers of civilian casualties. He described a variety of devestating injuries. Mostly he saw maimed people who had experienced trauma as the result of bombs exploding in their proximity.
He stated that there are limited supplies to treat the patients, and that his team is doing what it can to help out.
No matter how rosy you paint the picture, it is impossible to contain the power of those big explosives being used amongst the civilian population. I hope nobody is wondering, any longer, why we are not being greeted as liberators.

Well, we've taken on a tough job and the idea was for this to be another Black Hawk Down situation when the civilians and the dangerous individuals were almost impossible to tell apart. This war is much worse than the media reported it would initially be.

Im sure as soon as all these people heal up they'll be out dancing in the streets and throwing rose petals at the troops.
Now, on with the "cakewalk".....

It's a War. People die. Sadam had plenty of chances to surrender b/4 the fight started.
What did you guys do during 17 years of Viet Nam fighting ?
