Hi guys... long time reader, first-time poster.

I was wondering what you guys think of the Longhorn football team in 02. I'm a big fan, and I was hoping to get some insight from my net brothers here on the board.

Also, I'm looking for a guy named "mileslong" around here. Let me know if he pops up.

Texas's schedule is much harder next year, with games at North Carolina, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and Nebraska. And of course, the OU game in Dallas. I like to think that with Chris Simms' experience this year, he will be a smarter player and not make the game-costing mistakes he made this year.

I think we could be in the Big 12 Championship game next year too. OU loses Roy Williams, Nebraska loses Crouch, K-State sputtered at the end of the season, and NC should be a tough win. A loss to Nebraska will take us out of the Big 12 Championship game. Keep in mind, we did beat Nebraska in Lincoln in 98, so anything is possible.

But I guess we'll wait and see. I'm pumped about the Horns next year. Meanwhile, the Runnin' Horns BBall club is kicking some ass in the conference, despite losing Chris Owens. Their schedule only gets harder from here, so let's get pumped up everyone!!
