George Soros--I love it! Finally some folks with megadollars to get this trainWreck of an administration off the presidential tracks in 2004!

Billionaire provides $10 million for effort

QUOTE
The group plans a $75 million effort to defeat Bush and \"elect progressive officials at every level in 2004,\" targeting 17 key states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

\"The fate of the world depends on the United States, and President Bush is leading us in the wrong direction,\" Soros said in a written statement. \"ACT is an effective way to mobilize civil society, to convince people to go to the polls and vote for candidates who will reassert the values of the greatest open society in the world.\"

Finally, some more formalized efforts to return the country to some sense of sanity.

The number of people who truly believe the country is headed in the right direction is a definite minority. While the split may be more 50/50 on particular issues, the big picture is a disaster and people know it. In the end, the White House's pandering to specific groups will cost them with lots of other influential people. It has finally started to happen.

It is just these types of efforts that will help deliver us from four more years of oppressive rule by the man who would be dictator if given the opportunity.

Hmmm, While I will do everything I can to help defeat Mr Bush, I do not think he is evil in the Hilter vein. I do think he is an example of too much money, and too much God in the oval office

Fantomas, you know full well that the fattest of the fat cats have been contributing to the Democrats for years. The Democrats are far more reliant on fat cat contributions than are the Republicans. As the quote in the article indicated:
QUOTE
\"What you're seeing is that, as the Center for Responsive Politics pointed out, that 90 percent of donations of over $1 million went to the Democratic National Committee,\" Mr. Dyke said. \"Now you're seeing these large donors giving to special-interest groups to elect Democrats.\"
I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm not saying it's a good thing. Just pointing out that, in recent years, the Dems have been far more dependent on the mega-donations of the mega-wealthy.

Thats because the Republicans just end up holding a couple thousand dinners every other month that are $1000 a plate so they can bank that way. Get your money in small amounts or one lump sum, its all big money!
