Full Version: No Suit for You!

The NFL's dress code thing is just getting out of hand. 49ers coach Mike Nolan was denied permission to wear a suit and tie during games this season. The NFL insists that the coaches wear NFL garb. Ugh! The guy would like to pay tribute to hsi dad, who wore a suit when he coached the Niners back in the early '70s. Not to mention some of the other all time greats who wore suits-guys like Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Dan Reeves. Just so petty!

Recently the league has prevented Jake Plummer from wearing Pat Tillman's number on his helmet and also fined Peyton Manning for wearing high tops to homor Johnny Unitas.

I want someone in the NFL to bring back the fedora. Tom Landry always looked so sharp in his chapeau. I suppose we should just be glad that, unlike their baseball counterparts, football coaches don't wear the team uniform.

As long as they don't order coaches to wear tights...we had that near-disaster last year. wink.gif
