"President Bush (news - web sites)'s approval rating has dropped to 57 percent from 73 percent since April as voters soured on his handling of the economy, a poll published on Wednesday showed."

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/20...nton-poll_x.htm

"In the poll, conducted after the release of Clinton's Living History, more than half, 53%, say that they have a favorable view of the former first lady. That's up from two weeks ago, when those surveyed were split 43%-43%."

you forgot to pull this quote buddy

Connecticut, university poll found that Republican Bush would still be elected with 53 percent of the vote against potential Democratic nominees Sen. Joe Lieberman (news - web sites), who polled 40 percent, and Sen. John Kerry, with 37 percent.

The parallels to his Father are uncanny, aren't they? eek!

PhillyFan -- you are so predictable. When you trumpet your "W is winning polls" you do so with such authority and certainty -- but when someone uses your little poll tactic to make another point -- you raise a smoke screen. Joe Leiberman has NO chance of winning anything -- he is a wolf in sheep's clothing -- his presence on the ticket last time cost Gore the election. The guy is a lousy campaigner, has no appeal and is basically a Republican. Hillary Clinton could beat Bush this time and I would not be surprised if a divided Democratic party ("divided to the extent that there is no clear front runner and the primaries are won by various candidates) doesn't turn to her come late March or early April. Now -- take your pill and don't complain!!

Woman president? not gonna happen anytime soon.

I don't know why not. I'm sure the White House kitchen can learn how to make pork chops.

Phillyfan, I hate this, but I agree with you. America is still to small minded to accept anything other that a white male president.
Not something I am proud to say or admit

Hillary is not fat like that dixi chic.

However, Hillary's running will cause everyone to remember scandal after scandal after scandal... Something that america grew very tired or hearing/seeing at the end of bubba's 8 years.

Bush has 57% approval rating, and the only dem that stacks up right now is leiberman.

So unless someone can actually come up with some sort of plan, W's chance is very good for another 4 years. No, not the 800 trillion dollar "health care" package either. Something fresh, something new.... well, or they can use the scare tactics so the blue hairs vote for them out of frear...
hockeyTom
well its not only the "blue hairs" that should vote out of fear for this mess again, phillyfan. wink
PhillyFan
yes i know, the thought of pres hillary... keeps me up at night... troubling.

That would mean another 500 page, living history 2, bubba does DC again... christ.

Arianna mentioned Hillary stepping in--or Gore, since the pusillanimous poltroons (both words she used) won't get tough--which would really shake up things.

And now there're rumors again that Bill may challenge the hated Bloomberg for the mayoralty of New York!

One Clinton in the White House, the other running the second capital....

Oh, would Republicans sign up for Osama's brigades then?
