Any Florence King fans who don't already know will be sad to hear that she is retiring from NR, and the latest issue is her last column. All very amicable, unlike the Chris Hitchens/Nation divorce - Miss King just decided she's been writing long enough and she's tired of it. I, for one, will miss her, but apparently they're releasing the full collection of her NR columns early next year.

I'll miss her, for sure. She consistently resisted the blandishments of modern society and set an excellent example of what an educated and successful LADY should be. Small wonder feminist women reviled her!
