Happy to see that Eric Crouch went earlier than predicted in the NFL Draft.
I'll meet him in St. Louie any day

With his speed, he could end up being one of the finest receivers! Just wish he'd ended up in Dallas.
Maybe I'll even get a Rams Crouch jersey to go with my Red number 7 jersey!!!

Yes, he was taken earlier than last year's Heisman Trophy, Chris Weinke. I hope Eric becomes a decent NFL player. You never know with the NFL draft which picks are golden and which picks are busts. I'm hopin for Crouch St. Louis got itself a great NFL player.
Plus he's cute!

Interesting that only one first round quarterback pick has ever made it into the hall of fame. More support for the lack of predictive value of the draft.

Would you be talking about Bradshaw (1970 Steelers) or Elway (1983 Colts)(Colts, mmm) or Paul Hornung, 1953 (Green Bay) didn't play qb in the pros but did in college at Notre Dame, he was qb, hb, db, lb, c, tackle and everything else (correct me boys). I also have to add in 5 more years, you can add Aikman to that list. Surprising, after reading your post, couldn't believe that only one qb is in the HOF but 2 or maybe kind of 3 is still strange. While researching, also, its surprising how few first rounder at any position is in the HOF.

huh? Jim Kelly was selected in the first round by the Bills, even if it took him awhile to get there. He's in the Hall of Fame.
Len Dawson was selected in the first round by the Steelers. Griese was selected in the first round by the Dolphins. Namath was selected in the first round by both the Cardinals AND the Jets (of the AFL).
Marino is not yet in the Hall of Fame, but I have a hunch he'll get there. John Elway has a chance too. As does Steve Young. Who knows? Maybe some day Troy Aikman could possibly make it.
Basically, it's very hard to become a great, or even very good quarterback, in the NFL. But if you are great, chances are you were taken in the first or, in some cases, second round. Apologies to Tom Brady and Brian Griese.

Something I heard on ESPN I believe. The QB was Bradshaw. Maybe it's a rumor he started.

Perhaps he was saying that of all the QB's taken #1 OVERALL, as opposed to all QB's taken in the first round.

That's it George! Thanks.
I've followed Crouch (literally and figuratively) for years, and he's gonna be a stud! People don't respect him, but he has the desire to do good in the NFL.

CH - What I found intriguing was that the Rams not only took E, they also drafted Ohio State's Steve Bellisari, who is going to be converted to safety (6'3 - nice size)
At least if Warner gets hurt there will be no shortage of emergency replacements!

No there won't be and Eric can do it all! He can be a passer, runner, receiver, safety, or anything his heart desires! I've seen him personally many times and he's the real deal!

Most definitely, I'd let either of them blitz my blindside any day.

I agree. If they called encroachment on them, I wouldn't mind.

Oh, I'm sure you would Buff. Everyone's a comedian...I'm game
Just how easily would they penetrate your backfield?

Pics from the Rams roster: Interesting that E is wearing #89 (listed as a WR) and Steve #37 (listed as a FS)
