Skip “Yellow Dog Democrats”. Skip “chickenhawks”. It’s the Doom-ocrats. A new slogan adopted by media and political strategists to reflect a growing reality that’s put WeScream4HowieDean on mute in the public arena. What could have possibly ever done that?
Turns out that Democrat-friendly, liberal pollster John Zogby thinks that Doom-ocrats can’t seem to get a message playing that resonates with America. Even with Bush suffering from low public approval ratings, high gas prices, and increasing terrorist violence in Iraq and Afghanistan, it seems the Doom-orats can’t get any traction off the Bush woes.
To wit: “Independent pollster John Zogby says that although Mr. Bush is not doing well in the polls, the Democrats aren't doing any better. "The Democrats aren't scoring points in terms of landing any significant punches on Bush or in terms of saying anything meaningful to the American people," Mr. Zogby said. In a slap at his party, Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg said earlier this month that his surveys show that "one of the biggest doubts about Democrats is that they don't stand for anything."
When the Doom-ocrat’s most radical elements took out ads trying to “Bork” Judge Roberts, even a Clinton Administration apologist took exception –“We have to define the reckless left of our party and differentiate ourselves," former Clinton White House adviser Lanny Davis told The Washington Post, calling the ad "smear and innuendo." Other Democrats, including Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware and campaign strategist Robert Shrum, similarly denounced the ad. Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, when asked about the ad, refused to discuss it.
GovMoonBat is getting smarter each day he keeps his mouth shut. Is it any wonder that a national party, bereft of meaningful dialogue or ideas beyond “Just Say No”, is finding out that being against everything is being about nothing. Anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-personal freedom, anti-God and blaming it all on America.
"Democrats dream of a 2006 turnaround, but the odds against it are daunting," Congressional Quarterly said this month in a state-by-state review of next year's contests.
The chance of taking back the House or Senate in 2006 is rapidly disappearing for the Doom-ocrats. Time to dump the far left groups in the party, dump GovMoonBat, put a muzzle on NancyP and TeddyK, and move to the middle? It’s called the Hillary Clinton shuffle. The hottest dance craze among Doom-ocrats in Washington.

By the syntax of the post, it's fairly obvious that you did not compose this message from your brain. Rather it was just something from one of those Sean Hannity/Rush Limbaugh type articles that you decided to co-opt as your own. Nice job cutting and pasting!
Anyways.... While the "repeat verbatim what has been fed to me without deviating from a single word" strategy works great in an echo chamber and in a forum where no one thinks for himself, it's woefully inadequate in a forum such as this... where people do think critically(as in ... think for themselves)
But back to your post... You call this guy a "White House apologist". Do you know what his official capacity was? Do you know what statements he has made during and since the Clinton years? Or is that description simply what has been told to you and you accept it no questions asked?
and really the example cited above actually contradicts what you are trying to prove in your post. Don't know what I'm talking about? Maybe I'll tell you later.

Was Matt's post sent from Iraq or is he still hiding behind his keyboard?

Hey, Fridays are for fishin' so what the hell!
This is just another reflection of the "no real alternative" mindset that led a majority of Americans to vote President Bush into a second term. Like it or not, Iraq wracked-up or not, the majority of Americans think the Demo-option is a bad one and it's just NOT going to change until the Demos get some CREDIBLE new blood into their ranks. Termed out, President Bush doesn't have this problem, but brother, do we in the GOP have others!

Like...the mayor of Spokane, WA? Sen. Rick "I never met a queer I liked unless I hired him to be a sellout" Santorum? Bill "John Kerry But 100% *LESS* Intelligent" Frist? Yeah, the GOP is fairly
brimming with Presidential possibilities. Maybe Trent "I'm only racist on days that end in Y" Lott can throw his hood--I mean,
hat in the ring.
That's not to say that the Democrats have great options for '08; I just don't think
either party has a clear set of contenders for the next election.

What about Bayh from Indiana? Good-looking, got the lineage thing going that's so popular these days. Could get Indiana to be a blue state next time rather than a red (neck) one.

Whoa, dinger, don't you down there south of the Ohio go callin' my home state a redneck one! As I've said before on this board, Bayh is a Democrat I could easily support - unless, of course, there were a better qualified GOPer running against him. Actually, come to think of it, I'd like to see Bayh clean Billary's clock in the primaries, where he could expose her true colors. Color, actually: red, in the traditional, pre-USA Today, unmistaken sense.

No offense meant with that name. Hell, here in KY, "redneck" is a term of endearment.

"No worries, mate." I've been to Derby, drank Falls City, seen the original KFC and my best friend from HS lives in "Hoptown," so I've got nothing but good thoughts for the KY state. wink

KY? Red-necks? Hmmmm, an interesting combo. Actually, Bayh might stand a decent chance. He sure is a looker. His father, Byrch Bayh, was one of the better governors Indiana has ever had. And, point of order...Indiana had FOUR blue counties during the last presidential election. Yes, the Republicans really are doomed if Indiana managed to convert three counties from red to blue. Of course, Lake County has always been and always will be a blue county.

Ung? Nope, except for the quotes... it's mine bucko. And I don't need TalkingPts or whatever conservatives use these days... sorry for bashing in your adhominem.
BTW, I never saw you actually apologize in another post for making spurious comments about Judge Roberts? I read where you brushed it off after some of your sympatico here called you on the carpet, took you to the woodshed, dressed you down a bit, realigned your nose... but apologize? Nope.
As for Lanny Davis, if YOU don't recognize him you need to pick up a contemporary political history book and read a little... you're woefully ignorant of even remedial political facts. And that IS frightening that the Left doesn't even recognize one of its own. Yeow.
Play nice, Ung. Your fingers are writing checks your brain can't cash.

sweet heart. I am not of the left.
and you are oh so right. I have no idea of even remedial political history.
and yes. I so believe that your post was your own writing.
and I got taken to the woodshed about Roberts? Spurious comments? Girl! I am a Roberts supporter! and anything I said but could not reveal the source is just that. I can not reveal my source. Just ask Novak about that concept.....Girl!

Ung, if you aren't of the Left, you're the only one who thinks that way.
We're still waiting for you to be a big boy and apologize for your baseless claim that Roberts is gay. Sources be damned, pooty-bird, apologize when you're wrong. Or grow-up, think before writing, and keep the girlie-thoughts to yourself.

Dear HerMatt!...... Girl Puh-Leeze!
First of all this is like FoxNews. I can say shit and don't have to give you 3 sources to back it up. Although I could. actually... now that I think of it. I'm still doing better than your favorite prez, Mister Big Hat himself, WBush.
Yes. W who claimed that we were gonna send soldiers to die in Iraq because of all those nukular weapons in IRaq and so we don't have a "mushroom cloud' in the good ole U S of A. Right?
as for my claims about Roberts.. what did I say?
Read my words bitch! Do... you.... understand.... the.... words.... that.... are... coming out... of... my mouth?????!!!!???
I said, "I can not give you any proof and I may very well be wrong" and when pressed to do so, I said, I can not give any proof. Hablas ingles, bitch? Tu parles anglais, bitch?
and you are partially right. I am probably to the left of you. But from the sounds of your "bluebird-of-the-fascists" rants.... Pat Buchanan is probably to the left of you.

Anyone care to guess how many forums MiMatt posts under at Outsports, other than P&R?
Its odd that someone would show up, never post anywhere but P&R...at a GAY SPORTS messageboard.
Topic: Is MiMatt really an angry straight guy, who hates gays and has come here to pick fights?

To discuss, yes it is rather suspicious that a gay man posting on the internet would be that clueless. Considering also that at least Phillyfan and MIB are at least somewhat entertaining trolls to feed
