Based on items that follow, do you think
1) Do you think the current admin has had enough time to improve our intel
2) If yes do you think this is a legit issue to raise or is it all just political hay?

Look, if W bills himself as being so great on terrorism and protecting Americans, and if under his watch we've had repeated intelligence failures, then this is a SERIOUS political issue, but it goes beyond that. It threatens our safety and well-being as Americans. So whoever's in charge should be held accountable, not just Democratic whoremongers.

Hell, yes, it's a legit issue. If the president getting a blowjob in the Oval Office is of legitimate concern, then you are GODDAMN RIGHT that the possibility that the war was baseless is.

Seventeen Americans were born during the war that will never know their fathers. Thousands more lost a husband, wife, sister, brother, child, cousin. Go tell them that it's just "political hay" to look into the fact that their family member died in vain.

Sorry, but this just pisses me off!

Ok I guess I should also listed my opinon.
I can not think of a bigger issue! Almost every major issue is wrapped up in this. We hear the enconomy was slumping and 9/11 pushed it over the edge. So what would another attack do?
Our troops, My god, During the "WAR" ( spare me the operation iraq freedom BS) I would log on every day to CNN and look at the soldiers KIA. I figured I owed them at LEAST that. How many people who praised the war did that HUH? Phillyfan? CITT?
But my main point is if after 2 years President Gore had not found Osama, Saddam or still had the level of intel failures do you think there would be closed door hearings?

Had Gore not found Osama or Saddam--who, as Thomas Friedman notes today already has a new party in place in Iraq, the "Party of Return," that is vowing to cut out the tongues of ALL supporters of the US when Saddam "reclaims office" [shudder!!!]--we'd be watching the right-wing CRUCIFY him. And even conservatives on this board know this would be true. Gore would be pilloried as weak, indecisive, wimpy, etc. Every aspect of his performance would be picked over like army ants on a deer carcass. Yet we get steady comments that attempt to downplay or change the focus, so that the truth of our nation's intelligence failures pass by without real change or comment. Un-ac-cept-able!

Dr. Dean, yesterday in Des Moines: "I think the President of the United States misled us on our way into Iraq, and not fully share information that he knew. The Vice President intimated things like they had a nuclear weapons program. There's no evidence of that"
